Stellungnahme des AKS (Arbeitskreis Kritische Soziale Arbeit) Berlin zum Umgang mit Flucht, Migration und Rassismus
Innerhalb der Zivilgesellschaft und in den Medien scheint es derzeit ein brennendes Thema zu geben: Geflüchtete Menschen alias ‚Flüchtlinge’. Diese Thematik wird insbesondere durch ein Paradoxon geprägt, das sich einerseits aus Angela Merkels ‚We can do it’ und ‚Willkommenskultur’ sowie andererseits aus rassistischen Übergriffen und massiven Gesetzesverschärfungen zusammensetzt. Dieses Paradoxon und damit einhergehende, unzumutbare Lebensumstände, denen geflüchtete Menschen (teilweise seit Jahrzehnten) ausgeliefert sind und an denen sich auf politischer Ebene höchsten zum Negativen etwas ändert, sehen wir als Anlass zu dieser Stellungnahme.

On October 9, 2015, our brother and friend HikmetPrizreni was arrested and he is threatened with deportation!
On that day Hikmet, accompanied by his brother Kefaet, went on an official visit to the Immigration Authority. The Clerk asked Kefaet to wait outside and secretly called the police. Hikmet was then arrested by the police on the basis of an invalid/void arrest warrant. In lightning speed, Hikmet was before the Judge and then taken to detention prison awaiting trial.
Because Hikmet’s status was ‘toleration’ (Duldung) he is now threatened with deportation to Kosovo. A country Hikmet does not know, and in which he, and as Roma, faces discrimination and violence.
Hikmet is also known to many as the artist Prince-H. He thrilled audiences with his energy and musical talent and often performed at cultural events and concerts for human rights. We know him as a creative, humorous, non-conformist who put his art in the service of living peacefully together, without discrimination or exclusion of other cultures.

Auf unserer Reise über den Balkan und Österreich nach Deutschland konnten wir uns ein eigenes Bild über die Situation an Bahnhöfen und Grenzstationen machen und sind mit Aktivist*innen in Kontakt gekommen, die eine kritische Perspektive auf die neuen Hilfsstrukturen eröffnen.
Dass Hilfeleistung wichtig ist, wird hier nicht in Frage gestellt. Doch erlauben wir uns in dieser kurzen Reportage einen kritischen Blick auf Handelnde und Initiativen zu werfen, die zwar helfen, das europäische Grenzregime aber kaum hinterfragen. Die Frage bleibt: Was müssen linke, antirassistische Aktivist*innen tun, nachdem wir Essen ausgegeben und Kleidung verteilt haben? Denn eines ist sicher: Europa wird keine „Refugee-Welcome“-Initiative.

WE WILL RISE gives a space for reflection for the people of the refugee movement aswell as an exchange with people who are not (yet) part of the movement. It is a growing exhibition and archive. It focusses especially on the time since the tent actions and the protest march from Würzburg to Berlin, the protest camp on Oranienplatz and the squatting of Ohlauer school. It has the aim to make history visible and accessible and to use it for the present and the future. The exhibition and archive is just a beginning. It can only grow if you take part in it and add what is important to you. We want to struggle together with you for a permanent place for this work.

Global Day Against Racism, My Right is Your Right
On saturday thousends of people came to the demonstration “My Right is Your Right” at the global day against racism.
Right Is Your Right! is a campaign comprised of creative artists, activists, lawyers, refugees, church officials, unionists, clubs, neighborhood initiatives, and individuals.What connects them all is the wish for a stronger political intervention in Berliner refugee policies, in a union of various forces. For collectively initiate a political change.
Meeting point was Spreewaldplatz, were people gave speeches, performed and sang. Among others the theater group JugendtheaterBüro from Moabit made an action to make racism more visible on the streets by using a huge stamp saying »Name it Racism«.
Two hours before there was an other action from Türkische Bund Berlin- Brandenburg (TBB) at Kotti and other places in the city. “5 to 12” is emphasising on the urgency about getting loud and fight against racism after an other year of a high increasing of racist and anti- muslim propaganda and attacks.

Das Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg droht obdachlosen Familien im Görlitzer Park und der Cuvry-Brache mit der Inobhutnahme ihrer Kinder

Am Dienstag, den 16.9. erschienen am Morgen Mitarbeiter*innen des Jugendamts und des Gesundheitsamts Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg bei den Familien im Görlitzer Park und in der Cuvry- Brache. Nach Angaben der Familien im Görlitzer Park gaben sie zunächst vor, den Familien mit ihren Kindern u.a. bei Fragen der Einschulung und ähnlichen Belangen helfen zu wollen. Daraufhin zeigten die Familien ihnen im Vertrauen wie erbeten ihre Pässe. Auf ihre Nachfrage, worin die ihnen angebotene Hilfe denn konkret bestehe, erklärten ihnen die Mitarbeiter*innen des Jugendamtes, es handle sich um eine „Inobhutnahme” der Kinder. Sie händigten ihnen ein entsprechendes Schreiben aus. Daraus folgender Auszug:
„Wir werden in wenigen Tagen wiederkommen. Sollten Sie dann immer noch mit ihren Kindern im Park leben und übernachten, werden wir Ihre Kinder in Obhut nehmen, das heißt, sie werden von Ihnen getrennt und in einer Unterkunft, in der sie genügend zu essen und zu trinken und einen trockenen Schlafplatz haben, untergebracht. (…) „Wir wissen, dass Sie für sich und Ihre Kinder dringend eine Wohnung brauchen. Aber wir können keine Wohnung für Sie beschaffen. (…) Die weiteren Entscheidungen treffen dann die zuständigen Jugendämter und Familiengerichte.” Continue reading
Camp der Geflüchteten weiterhin im Visier von Neonazis
Auf der Facebook Seite der “Bürgerbewegung Hellersdorf” wird gegen die Geflüchteten gehetzt und zum Anzünden des Camps aufgerufen. Wir müssen diese Bedrohung ernst nehmen! Wir fordern auch von Politiker_innen und Medien eine klare Linie gegen Rassismus und Faschismus! Wir fordern von der Polizei, das Camp zu schützen! Wir wenden uns auch an die Nachbar_innen: Bitte seid aufmerksam und unterstützt die Leute im Camp weiterhin!
At the facebook account “Bürgerbewegung Hellersdorf” (citizens movement Hellersdorf, that district of Berlin where some neighbors and fascists demonstrated aggressively against a new shelter for refugees) is agitated against Oranienplatz Protest Camp and called for arson attacks. We have to take this threat seriously! We demand that also politicians and the media make clear statements against rassism and fascism! The demand that the Police will protect the Camp!
