Verwaltungsparanoia und Zeltphobie des Bezirks verhindern fast das “Festival gegen Rassismus” auf dem Blücherplatz!

“Selbstbestimmt kämpfen, solidarisch vernetzen!”
4.-6. September auf dem Blücherplatz in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Unzählige rassistische Vorfälle und gesellschaftliche Ereignisse in Deutschland machen das “Festival gegen Rassismus” und eine emanzipatorische Gegenöffentlichkeit von Menschen, die von Rassismus betroffen sind, unabweisbar. Exemplarisch seien hier nur die rassistischen Mobilisierungen von Pegida, Bärgida, Legida & Co. genannt und die mit der Pegida-Agenda völlig in Einklang befindliche Verschärfung des Aufenthaltsgesetzes. Ein weiteres Beispiel sei der Zuschnitt und Verlauf des NSU-Prozesses in München, der die politische Dimension des Terrornetzwerks systematisch ausblendet und die Betroffenen und Angehörigen selbst als Nebenkläger_innen noch marginalisiert. Rassismus ist nicht einfach ein gesellschaftliches Randphänomen von rechts, sondern findet durchaus unzensiert aus der breiten Mitte der Gesellschaft heraus Zuspruch. Positionen und Meinungen von Betroffenen finden in der Öffentlichkeit keinen Platz. Das Festival hingegen soll als Plattform für Menschen mit Rassismuserfahrungen dienen und einen öffentlich- zugänglichen Ort des antirassistischen Widerstands darstellen.

Die Zeltphobie des Bezirks Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg nimmt immer absurdere und repressivere Züge an

Bereits in 2012 und 2013 richtete sich das “Festival gegen Rassismus” gegen die rassistischen Zustände im Land. In diesem Jahr kommen nun die rassistischen Schikanen des Bezirks erschwerend hinzu! Zelte sind zwar für das fahrlässige Heraufbeschwören einer humanitären Katastrophe infolge einer gescheiterten Geflüchtetenpolitik und als Abschreckungsmittel gegen Menschen auf der Flucht sehr willkommen – aber Protest- und Festivalzelte, zur Thematisierung dieser Zustände, stellen dem Bezirk zufolge eine zu große Gefahr dar: Nachdem Workshop-Zelte bereits zwei Mal zum festen Bestand des Festivals gegen Rassismus gehört haben, ohne jegliche Probleme zu verursachen, soll von ihnen nun plötzlich die wohl gravierende Gefahr ausgehen, dass in ihnen Menschen übernachten könnten! Und die für den Gebrauch von Zelten aufgeführten, bisher schlüssigen Argumente werden nunmehr gegen uns gerichtet in Form einer Empfehlung, doch stattdessen umliegende Räume aufzusuchen. Das erreichte Maximum an Kompromiss sind an zwei Seiten offene Pavillons – völlig unzureichend für das geplante Programm. Zum Arsenal der neuen bürokratischen Hürden gehörte auch die Frage nach dem Gewicht der Stände. O-Ton der Stände-Vermietung hierzu: “Das sind die Stände, die seit 30 Jahren in der Bundesrepublik aufgestellt werden; nach dem Gewicht hat noch niemand gefragt!” Und all das, nachdem uns nach über zwei Monaten noch nicht einmal eine schriftliche Bestätigung über den Eingang unseres Antrags vorlag. Dabei wird der Bezirk bei der Frage nach den Zelten wohl von den Gespenstern seiner eigenen repressiven Politik heimgesucht. Denn seit 2013, seit der Amtsübernahme von Monika Hermann, wurden das Refugee-Protestcamp am Oranienplatz durch koloniale Teile-und-Herrsche-Taktiken ganz und die besetzte Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule zum Teil geräumt. Im gleichen Zeitraum wurde unter Federführung von CDU-Hardliner Frank Henkel die Görli-Task-Force errichtet, wodurch sich keine nicht-weiße Person mehr frei am und im Görlitzer Park bewegen kann, ohne jederzeit nach dem Ausweis gefragt oder gleich verhaftet werden zu können; die Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule ist – nach dramatischer Dachbesetzung im Juni 2014 – zum Gefängnis für die Bewohner_innen des Gebäudes geworden. In Zeiten sichtbar zunehmender rassistischer Hetze und Mobilisierung, stellt das Verhalten des Bezirks umso mehr eine unzumutbare Provokation für uns dar. In diesen Zeiten rufen wir als Festivalbündnis zu mehr Solidarität und Widerstand auf: “Selbstbestimmt kämpfen, solidarisch vernetzen!”.

Wir verlangen, dass wir das Festival so, wie wir es für richtig halten, stattfinden lassen können: Mit geschlossenen Workshop-Zelten für eine angemessene Arbeitsatmosphäre, für Filmvorführungen und

MAKE SISTA MIMI’S LAST WISH COME TRUE

Update on the successful crowdfunding campaign for Sista Mimi. Still, the support will be continued!

“Thank you for contributing! Together, we fulfilled Sista Mimi’s last wish! The funeral parlour will be paid tomorrow (December 29). The flight to Nairobi will take place on January, 1st or 2nd. Mimi’s relatives in Kenya are very moved that her community in Berlin made this possible. They were also happy to learn that a Berlin friend of Mimi will accompany her on her last journey and attend the funeral as a representative of her Berlin community.Next Goals
Mimi always provided as much support as she could to her daughter in Kenya. She will start the last grade of secondary education in January 2015 and wants to pursue university education. Let us continue Mimi’s support for her daughter’s education! To spread Sista Mimi’s political thinking, there will be a non-profit movie by a friend of her (he also made the tribute you find under news). The film will build a bridge between her life in Germany and in Kenya. The transport and editing costs of the filmmaker who will accompany Mimi will be 1.300 € (500€ for the ticket, 300€ for travel costs, 500€ for the technical equipment). The film will also help for long-term financial support for her daughter´s education.”

After 20 years of activism in Germany, Sista Mimi died on December 10. Until the very end, she kept on fighting for human rights​, lastly​ in the Refugee School in Kreuzberg.
As long as she was alive, she refused to return to Kenya: Who then would bring about change in Germany? But her last wish was to rest in peace in Kenya.
For her wish to come true, we must pay the funeral parlour 7.000€ on DECEMBER 29​! Only then will Mimi fly to Nairobi!
Let’s all contribute towards fulfilling the last wish of this extraordinary activist, musician and friend who lives on in all of us! And, above all, let’s tell everyone whom we meet about Sista Mimi, show the a video of her and ask them to contribute, too!

Yesterday evening, the Berlin refugee movement lost one of its most important activists: Sista Mimi.

This morning at 12:30 in front of the Ohlauer school, right in the middle of Mimi’s memorial ceremony, the police arrested another refugee activist from the school.

Beide Seiten einigen sich grundsätzlich auf die 10 Punkte des Vorschlages der Flüchtlinge vom 1. Juli 2014 für die Nutzung der G.H.-Schule durch die Flüchtlinge. Einzelheiten werden später geregelt.

 

Die Flüchtlinge wohnen künftig nur im 3. Stock der Schule. Sie werden die Feuerfluchtwege der Schule frei machen. Einer oder zwei Vertrauenspersonen des Bezirksamtes betreten dann das Haus und überzeigen sich, dass die Zugänge frei sind.

 

Die Schule wird renoviert.

Ab Donnerstag den 3. Juli 2014 beginnen in den unteren Etagen der Schule Entrümpelungs- und Bauarbeiten. Zunächst werden die Fenster im Parterre mit Platten gesichert. Für den weiteren Zugang der Flüchtlinge, die derzeit in der Schule sind, werden ihnen neue Ausweise ausgestellt, die sie berechtigen die Schule zu verlassen und wieder zu betreten.

 

Die Kontrolle am Eingang wird zunächst durch Personal eines Sicherheitsdienstes gesichert.

Das – soweit notwendig zur Vermeidung des Zuzuges Dritter – von Polizeibeamten unterstützt werden kann.

Der Bezirk erklärt, keine Anträge für eine strafrechtliche und gerichtliche Verfolgung der Flüchtlinge wegen ihres Aufenthaltes in der Schule zu stellen.

Demands:

 

1. We will go on with our protest on the roof and 3^rd floor of the school building.

Therefore, we want a list of people (handed later) to be able to go in and out freely during the construction.

– The current demand that the people living in the school leave the school directly contradicts this.

 

2. This implies that the people living here will get a legalization of the occupation with a “polizeiliche Anmeldung”.

– The people living in the school have not been registered officially.

 

3. We will choose together which projects will be allowed entering the school.

– The people living in the school developed a concept for the International Refugee Center and which projects should be part of it. The district totally ignores this concept and wants to realize their own concept and make the school a “lager”.

 

4. We will occupy the roof until all the refugees get a residence permit.

– Again the current demand that the people leave the school contradicts this.

5. We require a written guarantee that we will not be evicted from this house until our demands are fulfilled.

– Although we did not get another written guarantee the district agreed to this point (see below).The current demand that the refugees leave the school contradicts this.

6. The district is allowed to proceed the construction under the condition that the police will not use it to evict us.

– The district now wants to evict us with police to proceed the construction and is thus violating this point.

7. All the files of the refugees of the school will be transferred to Berlin.

– None of the files have been transferred to Berlin, because Berlin refused to accept the cases, even though most if not all of the responsible foreigner’s offices in the responsible states (Bundesland) agreed to transfer them.

– The district did not offer any support in this concern

 

8. We will go on our negotiations with the Senate and the district. The district will offer support in the concern to negotiate with the Senate.

– The Senate as well as the district refused to continue the negotiations with the refugees in the school. Giving orders is not negotiating.

 

9. The people staying here will get the same conditions as the ones who left:

– Actually, this is true because everyone part of the so-called agreement does not get anything and is being kicked out bit by bit on the streets….

Money for accomodation, food, and all other things.The people will get social benefits according AsylbLG including health insurance according to AsylbLG. Cash money will either be paid by Landesamt Gesundheit und Soziales or the district. The district will ensure that the money will be paid by LaGeSo or the district.

– Money has been payed only once in the first month. Afterwards, the refugees in the school did not receive any social benefits. They did also not get any health insurance.

The district will compensate the costs of the house (garbage, electricity etc.).

The people can stay and live in the south wing 1^st floor, 2^nd floor, 3^rd floor. They also will live in the 2^nd floor (under the aula). They will use the aula. Project rooms will be apart. The whole pavillion will be used for project rooms.

Toilets:

1^st and 2^nd floor south wing and showers (til the next weekend)

– the only part of the agreement that the Bezirk has honoured.
