During the second Sudanese civil war that went on for 22 years, Omar al-Bashir assumed power in 1989. Al-Bashir is the first and only officiating president worldwide who is wanted for genocide, war crime and crimes against humanity.

Why we are here

Why we are here

Mit Rex Osa. Montag, 14. Dezember 2015 um 19 Uhr im Haus der Demokratie und Menschrechte

Greifswalder Straße 4
10405 Berlin

Continue reading

Demonstration against Human Rights violations in Chad Against the dictatorship and capitalist exploitation!

On the 8 th of March in N‘Djamena, the capital city of Chad, peaceful demonstrators who were fighting for their right of assembly and freedom of speech, again had to face harsh violations of human rights including police violence: humiliations, beatings and killings. While the western media has virtually acclaimed the Chadian military as a brother of France in the battle against oppression in other Africa countries, exploitation and oppression of their own population in their own country has reached a new, sad height.

Brothers and sisters from and around Berlin: Come and join us! Now is the time to fight for our rights! And for the rights of our brothers and sisters in Chad! Stop the dictatorship and the capitalist system which again killed more than 3 students and led to the detention of more than 200 students since March 8 th in N‘Djamena! We are the Chad Youth in Germany. We are calling for a demonstration in front of the Chadian Embassy in Berlin, Germany, on March 18 th , 2015. at Oranienplatz 12 noon from Bundesplatz at 1.30 P.M. to Lepsiusstr. 114, the Chadian Embassy Continue reading

Demo against the dictatorship in Sudan

Hey krimineller Diktator!

Why We Are Here Workshop #2, Hope for Sudan

Hope for Sudan
Sunday 25.01.2015, 16:00
New Yorck, BETHANIEN
Mariannenplatz 2, Berlin
U1/U8 Kottbusser Tor

We are refugee activists from different groups or networks and we would like to tell you the story of our home countries.

The media often report about war and humanitarian problems in our states, but it is not easy to get proper information about the political situation and current political struggles in Africa and Asia. We would like to share in a different way and explain why our countries are called poor, even though everyone knows that they are full of resources, and why we need to support the struggles there in order to give a deeper sense of our struggles here.

Let’s build up international solidarity! Yallah!
Second workshop (Hope for Sudan: The role of nonviolent movements) organized by activists from: “Girifna” (Fed Up) movement, Sudan; Oranienplatz- Refugee Strike, Berlin; and “Wir zijn Hier” Refugee Movement, Amsterdam
